    Overview

    GUIDE P.S.A. responds to valid requests from authorised law enforcement, courts, prosecutors and other competent public authorities in accordance with applicable law.

    How to submit a request

    Law enforcement requests concerning GUIDE users, accounts or activity should be sent to support@guide-match.com.

    Please clearly identify the message as a Law Enforcement Request.

    To allow us to assess and process the request, please include:

    • the name of the requesting authority;
    • the name, title and official contact details of the requesting officer or representative;
    • the legal basis for the request;
    • information sufficient to identify the relevant GUIDE user or account;
    • a clear description of the information requested;
    • the relevant time period;
    • any warrant, court order, prosecutor’s order or other legally required authorisation.

    GUIDE may request additional information where necessary to verify the authenticity or legal basis of a request.

    Disclosure of user information

    GUIDE only discloses user information where we are legally required or otherwise legally permitted to do so.

    Any disclosure will be limited to the information reasonably necessary to comply with the valid legal request.

    The availability of particular information depends on the data GUIDE holds at the time the request is received and our applicable data-retention periods.

    Emergency requests

    If a request relates to an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, please clearly mark the subject line:

    EMERGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST

    The request should explain:

    • the nature of the emergency;
    • why the situation is considered urgent;
    • the person or account concerned;
    • the information requested; and
    • how the requested information may help prevent the identified harm.

    Emergency requests are assessed individually in accordance with applicable law.

    Preservation requests

    Where permitted by applicable law, GUIDE may preserve specified account information following receipt of a valid preservation request while the requesting authority obtains the necessary legal process.

    A preservation request should clearly identify the relevant account, the information to be preserved and the applicable legal basis.

    User notification

    Where permitted by law, GUIDE may notify a user that their information has been requested.

    We will not provide such notification where we are legally prohibited from doing so or where notification could reasonably interfere with an investigation, create a risk of harm or otherwise be inappropriate under applicable law.
