How to Delete Your GUIDE Account

You may delete your GUIDE account either directly in the GUIDE app or by submitting a deletion request by email.

Delete your account in the app

1. Log in to your GUIDE account.
2. Go to Profile (the fourth tab).
3. Select the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner.
4. Select Settings.
5. Scroll down.
6. Select Delete account.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion.

Request deletion without using the app

If you cannot access the GUIDE app, email support@guide-dating.com from the email address associated with your GUIDE account.

Use the subject line: “Account deletion request”

In your message, state that you want GUIDE to delete your account and associated personal data. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and protect your account against unauthorised deletion.

If you can no longer access the email address associated with your account, explain this in your message. We may request additional information necessary to verify that the account belongs to you.

What happens when your account is deleted?

Deleting your account is irreversible. Your GUIDE profile will no longer be available, and GUIDE will delete or anonymise the personal data associated with your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

GUIDE may retain limited information where required or permitted by law, including information necessary to:

• comply with legal, accounting or regulatory obligations;
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
• document consent and its withdrawal;
• investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or
• enforce valid account restrictions and protect other users.

Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary, protected from further use for incompatible purposes and deleted when the applicable retention period expires.
